Subject: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Mbo Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:10 AM Hey folks! Very soon I may be starting out on a mini Mudcat Adventure of my own! A few things must be sorted out first before it is finalized, but here is the gist: Praise & Hardi have envited me to come visit them in northern Pennsylvania. In relation to their schedule, I would probably leave on Monday, July 31st and head up to their place. While I'm up and around there, I'm planning on excursions to see Ceit in Brockville, Ontario, and Mario & Irish Sergeant as well. I most definately be back at my place in Greenville, NC on August 12th, to get ready for the Fall 2000 semester at ECU which starts on the 16th. If there are any other Mudcatters not too far away from that area, I'd love to drive to meet them, or have us meet in a central location. Since the Nothern Pennsylvania/Ontario/New York/New England area is all "not to far" in my book, anyone who's interested be sure to "get up with me" (as they say in Eastern NC) so we could plan something! Now, if the good Lord's willin', and the creeks don't rise, the trip should be a definate thing soon, and then we'll be having some major Mudcat fun! --Mbo |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: MMario Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:20 AM Great gallopin' Ghosties and Ghoulies! This is the same lad who had to be badgered into driving 90 miles in March? And he now considers NE Pa, Ontario, New England to be "not too far"? Where's Brockville? (okay, I know, Ontario ...duh ...)(Never mind, I will be not lazy and look it up) I do not know if anyone would be interested, but I *AM* working at Sterling Renaissance Festival the weekend in the middle there.....and there are over 80 shows free with your entrence fee... And Mbo - senior Wench at our Faire does not allow walks... so you are safe. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Willie-O Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:27 AM Brockville's in eastern Ontario between Kingston and Cornwall. I think I'll be playing the Yellow Canoe in Merrickville (not far from Brockville and I've been badgering Ceit to come by) Fri Aug 4. That's Blue Skies Festival weekend, Mbo, I'll post more info on it shortly--a wonderful backwoods festival near my home. Day passes will be available at the gate. I was thinkin of having a gettogether maybe on the Monday after Blue Skies. Schedule permitting. Lets look into it. Willie-O |

Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: bigchuck Date: 05 Jul 00 - 07:28 PM Sounds great, Go for it Mbo. With some creative scheduling, you could be in Vermont the weekend of Aug 4, go to the Champlain Festival, which is always great, and then stop down the road apiece. Either myself or midchuck would be happy to host you in the Rutland area. We can drink mass quantities of lager and sing into the wee hours. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Big Mick Date: 05 Jul 00 - 09:28 PM Oh, ......sure........ya little gob o' horseshite......you call that "not too far" but make no time for a short jot to Michigan to visit poor aul ailin' Uncle Mick..hell, it's just around the corner...First, THE FAIR ONE plans a trip to Anaheim and doesn't do a quick commute to Michigan in order that we might properly sanctify our relationship at the Temple of the Sacred Fertility Rites, and now you don't even bother to put yourself in the least little bit.......HHHHMMMMPPPPPHHHHHH.....I don't want you to worry, but you know that I haven't been well lately (How's that Gran? Did I get the guilt piece right?)....Did you know that Michigan is called the Wolverine State? Know what you get when you cross a Wolverine and a Groundhog? Six more weeks of some really shitty basketball. (Sorry to those of you who are not fans of US collegiate sports)...........you are out of the f***in' will Big Mick |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Susan A-R Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:11 PM Here Here! for the Champlain Festival. It'll be one more reason for me to actually get there this year, in spite of such obstacles as family, catering jobs, lack of transport and other such knee high deterrents which always seem to add up. Just say the word and I'll be there (at least on Saturday) I'll certainly look for all of the Chucks there too. If you come through later, I can provide you with a healthy (and, more importantly, tasty) alternative to MacDonalds. Mudcatters eat free at the Kitchen. Just let me KNOW, unlike the last road trip band that went through here!!!!) There's also a nice futon in a room with a door that shuts here in Montpelier. Susan A-R |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Mooh Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:23 PM Mbo, if you're about southwestern Ontario 11-13 August, try out our Goderich Celtic Roots Festival, and call on me there at the instrument security trailer. Mooh. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: catspaw49 Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:49 PM Well, this is all shaping up on the Mudcat part and it certainly will be an adventure for him, but when do we get to the part over what Meebo does with his "Mini." First, I think that's a silly name for it as I call mine "Joe Smackers," but to each his own and perhaps Meebo feels "Mini" is an accurate description or something. Anyway, where's the part about what he's planning for Mini. Up to this point, we haven't heard of much usage or even attempts at usage, so I want to know what the adventure for his Mini is going to be. Maybe a drop by at Mick's for a dose of the Fertility Rites might be in order. Then on to ...hhmmmmm...... Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: Dave Swan Date: 06 Jul 00 - 12:26 AM Sorry Mbo, Gotta ask the Big Mick a question on your thread. Mick, did you say Alison is bound for Anaheim, as in California, as in home of the mouse, Dizzy Walter's Land? If this is the case, of course I'll do my best to stand in for you ol' buddy. The best of celtic hospitality and all. Hey,.....hey Mick, put that down. Meebs, if you get the crazies and turn left, come see us. E.S. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: catspaw49 Date: 06 Jul 00 - 12:32 AM Yeah El Swanno.....Did you miss this tidbit before? Did Mick not enlighten you? Uh-huh.......... Yes, the Fair One will indeed be passing through within your range and is looking for some company. I assume that you will be more than willing, of course, to act as a representative of the firm and show her a fine time.....or at least the finer points of laying about. Maybe you could run her up to your place and show her how adept you are with a big hose. Spaw (standing aside, out of range) |
Subject: RE: BS: Mbo's Mini Mudcat Adventure From: MMario Date: 06 Jul 00 - 10:47 AM Glad to see this thread is drifting all over the place. El Swanno is now a firm representative of the fertility rites? I'm confused. |
