Hi, Max, I know you have been swamped, but I am listening to the archive of the radio show when Bill and Allan were there and hearing it again just renews my hope that you are going to put out a CD of it, all five hours! Just makes it seem they are here, all over again, and so wonderful to hear you ALL singing together.

So...please consider this a first order for at least one CD copy. Also, any sight of the Mudcat guitar for the auction, yet?

Thanks a bunch!!

kat, I have to agree that it was an amazing show. The studio seemed to overflow with some very talented folks who were making some remarkable music. It would be VERY difficult for me to pick a favorite among them except that I am truly one of Bill's biggest fans.

Bill and I just got the final signature on the guitar over this past weekend. It was in some ways the most important one - David C.'s. Now I can finish sanding, refinishing, etc.. Probably at about the time I am done Rick Fielding will have finished carving a special strap for it. (Yes! He will be making one especially for it!) As soon as the pieces are ready, we will begin the auction. Heck, if I do a good job on it, I might even bid on it myself!

Oh, Allan, that is wonderful! Good for Rick, too! I am just finishing listening to you sing "We'll Meet Again" and I certainly hope so. I feel as though I was so out of it when you were here. I should have had some of those white Buddhist scarves to hang around your necks to go with this song. I do have one gifted to me by a Tibetan; they are a symbol of the sentiments of your song. Thanks so much, Allan, you and Bill are very special to me.

We're gonna edit it up as early as next week and try to start deciding which cuts to include on a single CD. A CD is about 72 minutes, so Volume I at least, will have to be the best 72 minutes of the 5 hour extravaganza. Pene Azul might come down next week to volunteer to do some of the tech work. We'll let you know more when we do.

Please pardon the thread drift, folks. The proper title is: "Now Comes the Time" When I left Annap's gathering this past January, I found that I was lacking in words to express my feelings. Within a few days, I was able to put those emotions into a song. I didn't have my notes with me when I sang it at the radio show, so these words may be just a little different:

Now Comes the Time
...by Allan Clark

Now comes the time
Now comes the time
Now comes the time when we all have to say goodbye.

We'll meet again
We'll meet again
We'll meet again and feel the love we share tonight.

It's hard for me to say "I have to leave now."
For a moment just like this won't come again.
But someday we'll be together and I know it won't be long
'Til our hearts will overflow with love once more.

Now comes the time
Now comes the time
Now comes the time when we all have to say goodbye.

We'll meet again
We'll meet again
We'll meet again and feel the love we share tonight.

We'll meet again and feel the love we share tonight.

Wow! I even blew the rewrite! It is supposed to say:
It's hard to find a way to say "I have to leave now."

Consider mine the second order for the CD... after Kat, of course. This would be a great possession to have and keep. Let me stray a bit from the thread. I just want to thank Bill and Alan for the wondrful time we had in Trinidad. It was such an honor to meet you two and to hear your fabulous music. I pray that we will meet again very soon. Thanks for the experience and the memories that will last forever.

Me, too. The night before "The Show of Shows" I was with Bill & Allan (and Vixen, and Tim, and Tiger, and kwsawman, and a host of other wonderful folks) in CT. Both are nights I shall not forget. Thanks, guys, and thank you, Max - the site just keeps getting better & better.

I'll take a CD as well, as a sort of tangible reminder of Allan and Bill's tour. Max, I bet you'll sell a bunch of them!
Kat- Thanks for mentioning the Mudcat Guitar. I've been wondering about it as well. I have a feeling it's going to be one valuable instrument. Bill- that was a truly inspirational idea. I bet it'll set some kind of record for a for a Yamaha # (whatever). The added love and memories of everyone who has played, signed and worked on it are of incredible value. I'll announce right now that I want it. Especially with Fielding's strap. I hope there's a reasonable delay before it goes on the block, as I'm planning to move soon and money's tight. Sounds like it won't be too soon.
Allan- Thanks for the lyrics. Perfect ending to an amazing trip. BlueJay
