Subject: old obscure song From: GUEST,yarnspinner Date: 09 Jul 00 - 12:12 AM Howdy, all. I'm looking for lyrics, or any reference, actually, to an old song heard once, long ago, on a backwoods hillbilly radio station. The chorus went something like: "Shoot 'im high, Pa, we need his britches. Shoot 'im high, Pa we need his shoes. "Shoot 'im high, Pa, we need his britches. He's a revenuer, and he's bound to lose. Anybody remember it? |
Subject: RE: old obscure song From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 09 Jul 00 - 06:32 AM I don't remember it myself. But I did some checking. Apparently it is a recording by Rex Allen (Not Junior) on RCA. Hope that helps. |
