I'll be at the Swannanoa Gathering in Ashville, North Carolina next week (7/16 - 17/22) for their dulcimer workshops. Will any of you Mudcat folks be there? I'd like very much to meet you and begin putting some faces to the words.

I'd sure like to go out there, but it probably is really expensive, and after the adventure idea got squelched, I'm sure this idea would suffer the same fate.

I'm afraid it is kind of on the steeply priced side. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $500.00 for a week of workshops, as well as room and board. But, I've been told by previous attendees that it really is well worth the money.

Well, I know it seems high, but teachers and musicians have to eat, too. I know from experience how expensive it can be to put this kind of thing together. And I'm pretty sure that the organizers are not in it for the money. So, i don't begrudge them the dough. And I for one, am sorry you ain't goin'!
