New HearMe Link Test

I've set up a new HearMe link/page for us to use (as Jon and I agreed on) and I'd like for all of you HearMe afficionados to test it out. Please post boos or yeahs here. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that everything works right! A great big thank you to Jon Freeman for all his patience and help -- couldn't have done it without him.

I was in, mic on, etc. I could not hear anyone, and no one apparently could hear me. Will try again, I just rebooted.

I am still pretty new to HearMe. I would appreciate it saying WELCOME TO HEARME and it would be helpful to have a word on that first screen letting people know clearly how to sign on with their name.... a lot of first-time people spend a lot of time figuring that out, and it is kinda uncomfortable sometimes because we who are already in there want to encourage them, BUT we don't want to make them feel like they HAVE to give their name.

It also has become helpful when people's "name" includes whether they are miked.

Well, it looks like the first run worked -- although I couldn't everything to work on my computer and I couldn't find the bloody hole for the mic on Dear Hubby's PC. But, that's happened in the past and then the next time everything works a treat.

Those are great suggestions, Praise, and I'll work on it.

Hope you guys have a session tonight so I can crawl around on the floor some more (hahahaha) -- or get DH to do it!!

Anyway, it doesn't matter if I can't play, just as long as the rest of you can!!

Just tried it, at about 5:42 PM Mudcat time. Found IvanB there, and he told me I was coming in loud and clear. He didn't speak or sing to me, but I assume that if he heard me I'd have heard him.
