What would be your choice for some hot dobro music? How would you rank or compare those picks? What's new?

I'll be buying a few CD's this week and I would appreciate a little info.

Anything by Jerry Douglas or Mike Auldridge.For something new and interesting, try "Bourbon and Rosewater" with Jerry Douglas,Edgar Meyer, and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

I was put on to Mike Auldridge by an earlier thread, seems pretty good to me, though I'm not an expert. What do 'Catters feel about Mark Knopfler's work?

Someone mentioned "The Great Dobro Sessions" with various artists, haven't found it yet.

One of my favorites is "Yonder" by Peter Rowan and Jerry Douglas. I wouldn't put it in the hot licks category - more like the tasty licks variety. It's a duet recording. Just Peter Rowan on guitar with a few mandolin overdubs and Jerry Douglas doin' the dobro. Good stuff. Check it out.
