Bloody Hell EBarnacle - you'll need a powerful telescope to see mudcat badges from across the sea - even from across the river it'd be a bit of a push !

Thanks Bob,
but I'm unlikely to leave Brisbane at the moment due to finances. I am having difficulty paying my car and houe insurance which both come due at his time of the year - the total amount is greater than my income over 2 months (and there's food and phone, etc), and I have to stagger and save for it. I don't mind the extra large ones, they all tend to shrink in the wash over time, and then they still fit me...

Thanks Mr Happy,
But since I was hoping to find some way of not sending minute amounts of foreign currenly around - and the fees are frightful - greater than the amounts involved, it is still the same problem whether USA or UK!

I'm in no great hurry!

Robin

Does one have to append the badge to a member, or will "Guest" suffice?

is that 50p bristish pounds?! (oh must be pence?)
and what is the price of a first class stamp--
i doubt that 1 stamp u.s.(37cents)would not cover more than one ounce..

I was a good little mudcatter last night and wore my badge that Bob made for the James Craig session. Moses had on her round one, so it was interesting comparing them. Sandra forgot hers (naughty naughty!) and freda didn't have one either. Do you have a mudcat badge freda? If not, Bob can whip one up for you.

G'day Robin,

Well, you missed Bill\Sables when he was out here a couple of months back ... several Sydney 'Catters bought T-shirts at the Shannon Pub session ... And I gave Bill one of my badges ... but these were only produced as a local stopgap measure ... initially so we could all find each other to get together at St Albans (the New South Wales, Australia one!) Folk Festival a few years back. We also handed round a batch for a Mudcat rendevous in a Canberra pub at the NFF 2003.

If you are likely to be at The (Australian) National Folk Festival, in Canberra this Easter I can give you a badge I have sitting at home with "Foolestroupe" on it ... but I couldn't run to buying a few spare T-shirts (anyway, Bill only seemed to have excess stocks of XXXL ... which would make a nightgown for me!).

Regards,

Bob Bolton

Yeah, does that mean we can stop making citizen's arrests and take people right off to the Mudcat Pokey Club officially?

Can we go buying badges with other people's cookies on them as well and go round pretending to be them? We could have a flame war in 3-D!

If any of you out there would like badges there are three ways to get them.

1. Send 50p per badge (coins are probably best)and a SAE (a first class stamp covers up to 5 badges) to Rincewynds, 7 Quarry Road, Norton, Doncaster, Sth Yorkshire DN6 9HS. Don't forget to include your cookie!

2. Catch us at Festival at the Edge this weekend, Warwick next weekend, Ruddlan the weekend after, Saltburn the weekend after that or the second half of Whitby week. You can then opt for a handwritten one on the spot or order a computer one. Just look for the Rincewynds badge stall.

3. Contact Bill/Sables who will flog you a teeshirt at the same time!

Hope this clears up some of the confusion. If you are at any of the festivals do come and say "Hi" whether you want a mudcat badge or not.
