Subject: RE: Chords Req: Cowsong (Kate Rusby) From: GUEST,michaelr Date: 01 Feb 14 - 10:53 PM Keep in mind that Kate usually plays guitar in double-drop D tuning, which means that if you try to sound like her in standard tuning, you'll have problems. When you see her play, you notice that her fingerings are dead simple. Try tuning DADGBD. |
Subject: RE: Chords Req: Cowsong (Kate Rusby) From: GUEST,Singanddance Date: 01 Feb 14 - 02:12 PM Okay here's what I have from the recording on "10" On the verses its basically Bmaj7 (I chord, for those who like to transpose) to E (add 2 if you like, on the high E string, second fret) (IV chord) then C#m (ii) and back to E (IV). The bridge is F# (or a simple IV chord) then back to B (I chord). Absolutely beautiful in that key, so worth it for me to get better with my B fingering. Enjoy. Awesome song. :-) |
Subject: RE: Chords Req: Cowsong (Kate Rusby) From: GUEST,Singanddance Date: 01 Feb 14 - 01:55 PM Kate sings Cowsong in the key of B on 10. I'm learning it on capo 2 playing A, but suspect it is more interesting played in B as the guitarist on the recording does it. |

Subject: Lyr/Chords Add: COWSONG (Kate Rusby) From: Mbo Date: 27 Jul 00 - 02:00 PM Excellent song! Here are the chords, at least how I do them, since the guitar in the songs only suggests chords, and never really plays them. COWSONG Words & Music by Kate Rusby D.....................G(repeat many happy times!) --Matt Preformat commands
(beginning) and
(end) added to space chords. |
