Or is this a men's quiz, cause no self respecting woman is going to answer with those two choices. We will all be either (c) or (d). :-) |

I had to use whiteout to fix it. Straight "A"s in High School (except for geometry & physics), dropped out of university, quit Bell Canada, returned to university, studied Native American Medicine Way, studied every religion under the sun, forays into Taoism, played songs for Rolling Thunder, have been reborn at least 8500 times, have died approximately an equal number of times, have tried everything I could think of in the pursuit of happiness and understanding, and love to engage in the "avalanche of words" style of songwriting...kind of like the "neverending tour". Subject: RE: Mudcat Demographics From: Little Hawk Date: 15 Aug 00 - 12:14 AM Hey, Joe Offer...are you reading the same threads as me? I don't see much bitching and complaining here except by people who insist the threads have to be limited to a subject of their own particular choice. If so, they should just launch one on that subject. I have, and it works. Music is a field that legitimately touches on all subjects...if it's good music at any rate. We are all getting to know each other, I hope, and that's good. Same to George Seto...you don't want to answer the questions? Then don't. You could always give a satirical answer, which would probably be more amusing to others, and still get your point across. Multiple choice questions are indeed a hilariously dumb way of handling any subject of interest...a symptom of the spectacularly dumb civilization which is presently dominating this planet...so make fun of them if you like. I do. |

Well "old geezer", possibly (maybe the female equivalent might be "old crone" or perhaps "old biddy") - but I've never heard any suggest that "bohemian" implies male. Or "aging" for that matter. Though "aging" should apply to everyone of any age, strictly speaking. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Demographics From: GUEST,Roger the skiffler Date: 15 Aug 00 - 06:55 AM Perhaps all this personal information gathering is to weed out potential undesirables like this club: White van ban A south Wales-based social club for single people is hoping to weed out "undesirable" clients by banning white van drivers, financial advisers and counsellors. (BBC Online) Their reasoning was that financial advisors and counsellors only joined to badger people into becoming clients. White van man (described as having four rings in each ear and nothing in between) were stereotyped as being so stressd by their aggressive driving habits that they just stood around saying nothing. No musical content, outrageous thread creep but at least I didn't start another thread - and we have discussed the white van man phenomenon on other threads! RtS |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Demographics From: hesperis Date: 15 Aug 00 - 11:24 AM Question #1....Level of education Grade 12 accredited, much more not credited (or always credible?), and still in progress. Question #2...Age Innocent child in a woman's body, currently recuperating from the turbulent teenage storms just past. Question #3.....Office at work Computer, desk, hamster, the rest of the living room/kitchen/bedroom, and as many musical instruments as I can find or fit in the space (currently 8, only 3 of which actually belong to me). (I guess that would be "d) other") I prefer HB pencils &:) Was abused in the public school system. (Wish I could remember the link to a wonderful, heartfelt letter a friend of a friend wrote about Columbine, where she said that too much abuse is negated and trivialized as being "only teasing", and that she identified with and pitied the kids who blew up because they couldn't take it anymore, more than with the kids they shot. ~If I find it I'll post it.) Somewhere around age 7, ran into a car. Literally. I was on foot, and I looked both ways, and I ran across the street --- right into a car. Blacked out, had to go to the hospital overnight, but I was fine. (Except for the hospital food! Ick!) I consider that to be the start of the rest of my life. Became Home Educated. Healed enough from learning Wind, Rain, Earth, Tree, Book, and Body knowledge, to go to high school *in* school. Got a reputation as a Brain. (Don't know how that happened.) Wasn't abused but started bringing home other people's attitudes. Became extremely disillusioned about the systems used in formal teaching here in Canada, because they are extremely disrespectful and imprisoning, both to students and teachers. Dropped out (thank goodness!), got my grade 12 equivalency easily. Always studying wonderful and wacky things outside of school anyway, since forever, including music, poetry, and mythology, and hope to make a big contribution to the creative arts! I have already made contributions in people's lives, that I bring out as treasures when I am feeling low. (Whoa, that was long!) Oh, and I'm a Sagittarius. ~*sirepseh*~ |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Demographics From: Little Hawk Date: 15 Aug 00 - 12:02 PM Ah...another question. Okay, put me down as MINK (and you figure it out). Oh, and my thank you was to the person who congratulated me on my smallness. Yes, smallness is a great asset anywhere except in a schoolyard, where it is usually a liability, due to the presence of various agressive subhumans who think that "size does matter", to quote the ad for one of the dumbest Hollywood films EVERRR..."Godzilla", in a dead heat with "Independence Day" for dumbest film of all time. A film which depicts the blowing up of the White House can't be all bad though, I suppose (Hee! Hee!). Anyway, smallness is usually handy, because it's very useful for survival in a harsh and competitive environment, like New York, for example...or a battlefield in Vietnam. Consult a number of interesting parables in "The Te of Piglet" for a fuller explanation of this...such as the one about the arrogant tiger on pages 83-86 (the beginning of the chapter entitled "The Tigger Tendency"). Said tiger is humbled by, in this order, a small bird, a little mole, and a snail. Just as I have humbled some of the inane jocks I had to suffer through school with. Dem dudes is nowhere now. So, like I said, thanks.
