Subject: Roll On Buddy... From: GUEST Date: 16 Aug 00 - 02:38 PM I've heard several versions of tunes that go by the name "Roll on Buddy." Would you share with me the lyrics you know to this tune? Thanks, Brian |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Roll On Buddy... From: Joe Offer Date: 16 Aug 00 - 02:48 PM Hi, Brian - put roll on buddy in the blue DigiTrad search box and see what you come up with - here's one - (click me, baby) You'll notice there's a "click to play" link at the bottom of the lyrics so you can play or download the MIDI. It plays a little slow - that seems to happen in our tune conversion process, for some reason. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Roll On Buddy... From: 12-stringer Date: 11 May 11 - 02:50 PM Guest Dessie Higgins: You'll find variations of that verse most easily in "(I Wish I Was a) Mole in the Ground." There's usually a $9 shawl reference in that song, as well as crossing the hill with a bank note of dubious authenticity ("Sure, I've got change. How about three $7s and a $4?") "Mole" and "Roll On Buddy" both hang out at the same family reunion. |
