The lyric is writen from point of view of hunted animal. It goes like this:

This is one of the Irish 'Hare' songs. eg 'The Granemore Hare'.

To the hill of Draw Mihn, I jumped for to stray.

But my heart was too beaten by the cry of the hounds.

Argi over, cried the hounds man, argi over ay ho.

They hunted me up, and they hunted me down,

Over highlands and lowlands and moorlands also.
Over hedges and ditches like the wind I did go.

I don't remember what was next. My band Slainte! and I want to sing this song on next Celtic festival in Dowspuda, Poland - so it is important for me.
