A friend has just told me about a fiddler he heard on the radio, Kenneth Duncan. Can anyone tell me where we can get his records, c/ds or whatever. Even just info. on the person would helpfull. Thanks, mcpiper.

Gidday Brendy. No idea where he is from, the radio station was the National program in new Zealand. I suppose I could try them for info, it's just that Mudcat is all powerfull and knowing about all things. thanks, mcpiper.

I know there is a fiddler by name of Craig Duncan, he has done several fiddling books for Mel Bay, but I have not heard of Kenneth.

There is a very good Australian fiddler of Scottish music named Chris Duncan. Unless you're positive the first name is Kenneth, does that name ring a bell?

This is the only Kenneth Duncan I can find. I've tried all sorts of keywords: scottish trad, fiddle, etc; zilch. I've been trying New Zealand radio stations, looking for their playlists (that search isn't over yet). But so far all I've come up with is our friend up there.

Somehow I don't think it's the right guy.

Thing about it is, mcpiper, it's not so much the end product, as the dross you have to wade through to get there. However, since you asked This, or combinations of words to that effect, is usually a good place to start.

It's amazing the pieces of useless information you pick up on your travels.
