Subject: Big John McNeil - Chords
From: Skipjack K8

Thought I'd kick a thread off for the first time this quarter.

I first heard Big John McNeil played as a session tune on Aly Bain's Trans Atlantic Sessions on the electric television, then done even better by 422, featuring the admirable Sam Pirt.

I have found the tadpoles on a couple of fiddle sites, but no evidence of chords, and everyone plays it so durned fast, I just can't hear them in time.

Anyone know 'em?

Thanks

Skipjack

PS Who was/is Big John McNeil?

I always get under a tune better if I know what inspired it. There's a threads worth on its own!

Yo, Jeri!

Well done, and thanks. What is the name of the site; there's many more chords I need to plunder.

Isn't it nice and quiet in the UK (on the 'Cat) this week. Wonder why?!!!
