Got there about 8:30 EDT, and stayed until 10:30 EDT.

Very few people at first, only three of us singing. Later more people showed up, but for some reason most people just want to text-chat rather than sing, so I had the golden opportunity to attempt to fill the oppressive silence. I sang:

Eddystone Light (a capella)
The Gray Cock a/c
The Pig a/c
An Old Man Came Courtin' Me a/c
A Dirty Miner a/c
STrawberry Road w/guitar
I was born in Cincinnati a/c
Early One Morning w/guitar
The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood a/c

Dave Oesterreich The Banks of the Ohio w/guitar

Dave, Is 'The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood' sung to the tune of 'My Lagan Love'? (which Mbo sang earlier). I'd love to hear you sing it some time.

I'd been reading the 'unaccompanied songs' thread and Diva's comments reminded me of a song I'd not heard for years, sung by Sean ac Donncha. Feeling the need to sing I dropped in on HearMe, & who should be there but Diva among others, so we had a good chin-wag - and a sing!

I sang:

Dark is the colour of my True Love's Hair (learned from Sean ac Donncha)
and
Sweet Inniscarra

Great fun and wonderful music as always. Thanks all!

Noreen

I popped in briefly and sang "Wagoner's Lad" because jacko had just sung something (wonderfully!) about a wagoner. Then we had disconnection trouble. . . Margaret
