Subject: 'Irish' Bluegrass ? From: GUEST,beachcomber Date: 24 Aug 00 - 05:44 PM If there are any Mudcatters, or their friends, who will be in the "Sunny" South East of Ireland this week-end, there will be a festival of bluegrass music each day ( Sat and Sun)in the beautiful, Seaside, Co>waterford village of Dunmore East. There are several venues and lots of bands but I do know that the Bluegrass Cardinals are headliners. |

Subject: RE: 'Irish' Bluegrass ? From: jeffp Date: 24 Aug 00 - 08:39 PM I remember seeing a group called the Bluegrass Cardinals back in the mid-to-late 70s. If I recall correctly, (not always the case) they were a family band with a couple of young teens at the time. I do remember that they were good. That much I'm sure of. I'd be really interested to see if they are the same group and if they're as good as I remember. jeffp |

Subject: RE: 'Irish' Bluegrass ? From: Brendy Date: 25 Aug 00 - 03:51 AM These guys? There's a load of different places about them out there, jeff. Do a search at Google.com, or Altavista. Most of the pages I've come across (like the one above) are geared towards sales of their CDs etc, but there's stuff available on them out there. Have fun. B. |

Subject: RE: 'Irish' Bluegrass ? From: jeffp Date: 25 Aug 00 - 10:32 AM That sure looks like them. I probably caught them shortly after they moved to Virginia. If they're still anything like they were, I recommend them for some good authentic bluegrass. jeffp |
