I just want to thank you all for your help- the song I was looking for was Song Of Joy! Now I can copy it and send it off to Sister Phil in Ireland. I cant believe I finally found these lyrics, you have no idea how much this means to me- God Bless you! Now if I can only find this song on CD or tape...any ideas where to search?

Yo, ruffian

Here you can get a CD Rom of Handel's Messiah - click - . I don't know the name of the orchestra and choir, but there is a tape available here - click - . And George Frideric Handel's Home page is here

Hope this helps.

B.

Yeah, Brendy, you damn sinner, but I don't know whether to send you to blue-clicky school or to music school. "Ode to Joy" is from the Ninth (Choral) Symphony, written by a guy named Ludwig van Beethoven. Remember him?

But in the context of a previous thread, I think that what the requester wants is "Song of Joy," from a Julio Iglesias album called Crazy (click).

I'm glad Joe mentioned Ludwig. The cunning old bastard must have had a sense of humour - he must be rolling around laughing at the moment listening to my chorale singing the Ninth (a full tone below his written score). When we front up before the full orchestra we won't have the benefit of the transposition. He'll be in absolute stitches by then. Hrumph!! John

What the **** was I thinking of?

Why did The Messiah come into my head?

Of course it's the 9th. But I totally misunderstood the whole thing in the first place.

Oh dear.
Rather made a fool of myself, didn't I?

Arse chewing time, maybe, Joe, and John.
Good slap across the skull with a wet newspaper time, definately. Thank you both for being so.....gracious

B.

And, of course, apologies to ruffian, also.

The **** was for Sister Phil's benefit (assuming I'm right, and that she's a nun).

Maybe I should just get out of this thread, altogether, eh, before I end up doing any more damage? *LOL*
