Subject: Mudcatters Meeting at Eaglewood? From: flattop Date: 24 Aug 00 - 09:33 PM Sounds like Eaglewood is popular with Mudcatters. Anyone meeting there? Would you be embarassed to meet me after reading the ridiculous things that I wrote on the form? I live fairly close but work problems may limit my time to Sunday. |

From: Rick Fielding Date: 25 Aug 00 - 02:46 AM Flattop, I've been pretty busy lately so I don't know just HOW ridiculous you've been...but I'll be proud to meet you at Eaglewood. My concert's on Sunday evening and I'm doin' a bunch of workshops both days. It's a great festival by the way. One of the most enjoyable ones I've been to. Rick |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters Meeting at Eaglewood? From: hesperis Date: 25 Aug 00 - 03:01 AM I would so love to go... Never been to any folky events. Ever! George isn't going, Soph isn't either as far as I know, and I'm working 4-11 both days. I'd go in the morning, but I will need sleep! (Or I'll be snapping at people if they bring me yet_another_dish_to_wash...) Have fun. 8( |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters Meeting at Eaglewood? From: flattop Date: 25 Aug 00 - 06:49 AM You very kind Rick. (I think SandyToes was telling me to get off her thread.) I'm working on stuff early this morning before heading to Toronto. I'll do my best to finish so that I can see you on Sunday. I heard a rumor that mudcatters gathered by the stage at Mariposa when you were playing but I heard it after the festival. If the same thing happens at Edgewood, I don't want to miss it. I know that I didn't give any details about the festival. I don't have many. Could someone in the know please post times, location, who is playing, etc. |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters Meeting at Eaglewood? From: flattop Date: 25 Aug 00 - 07:16 AM Yes Brendy, quite a bit better. Thanks for the link to the Eaglewood site. You're sending that link from Europe? You make me feel lazy about looking up links this morning. I'm testing changes to a program that didn't work across server boundries yesterday (and my hair is a real mess.) If anyone has personal information on Edgewood, I'd appreciate that too. Are there shady trees in the wood or is it just one of those naming tricks that developers do after scraping the topsoil off the land, is there clear, cold, springwater in the wood or only in bottles, where are the best spots, what were the highlights for you in previous years, etc.? |

Subject: RE: Mudcatters Meeting at Eaglewood? From: Rick Fielding Date: 25 Aug 00 - 01:15 PM Thanks B. Not only am I lazy, but stupid as well!! Peter T has been trying to teach me clickies for a year now, and I still screw 'em up. Yah Flattop, It's a lovely site. Real woods, nice atmosphere. Met some catters at Mariposa, Home County (in London) and last week at Summerfolk (in Owen Sound). Quite fun. It amazes me how many catters have been with us for years, but simply enjoy reading the threads rather than posting. The rest of us yakkers probably have bulging FBI files by now! Hope to see you.
