I am trying to find lyrics (sheet music or a MIDI file would be grand as well) for the American folk song, "I Bought Me A Cat." I know it is in the Old American Songs collection by Aaron Copland, but would like to use the tune on Monday and wouldn't be able to get my hands on it in time.

Thanks!

For a quickie tune in bad format, see here, a ways down on the page if you can read abc format..sorry about the abc, I have since leaned better. PM me if you need better. Ah, you can't can you, since you are a Guest.......well, then, if you are really desperate, e mail me at sorchaout@hotmail.

That's it, and it left out the last verse that Copeland left in...about bought me a wife. Do you know the tune, guest? If not holler.

Yes, I do know the tune. Site from Dee45 has lyrics a bit differently from the Copland, but definetly a help to jog the memory. Sorry I am bringing up something that has already been asked a few months ago! Have just found this site and have not been reading long.

Thanks! We'll see how well I can fake it on Monday...
