Subject: Snog for Wavestar From: CamiSu Date: 28 Aug 00 - 11:48 AM I may get myself booted out of my own house for this one, but I'd like to tell you why Jessica (Wavestar) hasn't been around much this summer. She has completed her third Shakespeare al fresco production with As You Like It. She and a friend started an, almost completely, student-run theatre company, dedicated to doing GOOD theatre that's not a musical. Personally, and I may be biased, I think she's done a great job, and deserves cheers and snogs! (Next year it's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, and I hope we have a theatre building ready for her to put it in!) |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: Escamillo Date: 28 Aug 00 - 01:21 PM Great. Someone who knows her well, would you ask her to drop here some comments about her work. People tend to not talk very much about their achievements. Un abrazo and snogs (what is a snog? - oh, well, if everybody snogs, let's snog) |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: CamiSu Date: 28 Aug 00 - 04:57 PM Careful Spaw, that's me daughter you're propositioning! R&G Are Dead will probably be in Thetford Vermont. Maybe I can get photies of this last show, though Jess wasn't on stage this time so i'm not sure if we have one of her telling everyone what to do. |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: CamiSu Date: 28 Aug 00 - 05:41 PM (well, actually Wavestar...) Ack ack ack! Me mother is embarrassing me again... *grin* Thank you all for your kind thoughts, though. Umm.. I could tell you about it... but what's to say? Everyone always asks... Still, I'm very proud of my company, we've had a third successful, profitable and acclaimed year, even if our company IS small and not very well known (and that's changing!) You're all invited to come see R&G, It'll be somewhere in the Upper Connecticut River Valley, near where I am, and fir the first time it looks like my summer show may be inside! (Outside with blackouts, etc, is hard!) I'll keep you all posted. Otherwise, I really don't know what to say - it was all started as a bit of fun, and has become more successful and recognised than I could ever have dreamed. Cheers to my mother for putting up with me while I spend all my summer time doing it, though! -Jessica |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: CarolC Date: 28 Aug 00 - 07:23 PM Jessica, your taste in theater is impeccable. If Connecticut was closer to me, you can bet I'd be there for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Best wishes, Carol |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: Wavestar Date: 28 Aug 00 - 09:29 PM Thank you, Carol. I'm actually in Vermont, though... The Connecticut River Valley follows the river through its northern journeying. -J |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: catspaw49 Date: 28 Aug 00 - 10:04 PM Nothing to be sorry about Carol....Its not your fault if the stupid river wanders off like that!!! I just read a piece in the paper the other day that the River has been in violation of Federal Statutes under the Carp Act of 1906 for transporting a Valley across state lines. Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Snog for Wavestar From: CamiSu Date: 28 Aug 00 - 10:16 PM Heck, Spaw, it's done that for years, ever since we lost the 13-town Rebellion and New Hampshire ended up with the whole river. Trouble is they still want us to share in taking care of the bridges... |
