Wow, we started doing this silly thing on Sept 1, 1999. Almost a year. Makes me think about what my life was like back then. All I can say is that it's a lot better now.

A reminder that there will not be live radio next week, I'm going to see an Ani Difranco concert instead. The week after that, the 13th, we will have a 1 year aniversary show, so that will be really special. Tonight should be good too. Tune in.

A little bird told me that you all got a MP3 file today from a brandnew Mudcatter by the name of MichaelAnthony. I sure hope y'all find the time to play it. The boy writes some dang fine songs, ya know. *BG*

And Happy Birthday Mudcat Radio!! Max, Bert and the Mudcat Elves deserve kisses on both cheeks and firm pats on their backs for all the wonderful work they've done for us all. Thank you, thank you, thank you all.

It was Brownie all right. The release was in 94 though. I am sure you can get it from Camsco. Its 'The Complete Brownie McGhee' one of the 'Roots and Blues" label. It's mostly just his recordings for Okeh and Colombia in 1940 and 1941. There is a great picture in it of Brownie, Leadbelly, Josh White, Lee Hays (Weavers) and Alan Lomax.

never could get tuned in, the borrowed PC needed the RealPLayer update, once I did that I got in long enough to hear Michael Anthony (great stuff, MA), then my connection was just to poor with all the bufferig ... so I gave up. BUT the good news I can listen in tomorrow!

Wassup with RealPlayer .... I think everyone's having crashing probs ....
