Normally I don't start threads, just kill them, but I can't contain myself tonight. My brother Russ's group Mandolirium just got an incredible review for their new CD, Unstrung Heroes at Mandolin Cafe. The new release is currently winging its way to Max and hopefully will be able to be heard on Mudcat Radio in the next week or so.

Russ may not be technically a Mudcat member but as my "little brother" he's one of us by proxy by cracky!

Yeah folks....mets sent me a really terrific MP3 and you got to hear it!!!! She has it going to Max and let's bug him to play it on Mudcat Radio. It really is a winner!!!

Rog & I both LOVE it!!

Talk about nimble fingers and what a neat eclectic mix of tunes, just right and wow, I can't believe how fast some of those tunes get going!!

As of this morning, the Mandolirium finally has a website up and running with soundbites and other good stuff. If you visit you can even pet my "nephew" Butch the Wonderdog!

You already know how excited I am about Madolirium.

Mudcatters you have to hear this Cd. This IS the MOST enchanting and exciting mandolin music I have ever heard! Hang on though, You may never stop dancing.

Mets, that is a great and very elegant website. I love the design! BUT, I didn't see Butch anywhere...where is he, how did I miss him?!

And, Rog and I echo wdyat...this is a terrific band and well worth buying their CD!

Go to the contact link kat, you have to pet Butch to send the band an email. He's also sitting beside my brother in one of the pics in the photo gallery. Not too many dogs have fiddle tunes written in their honour, he was one of the chosen few in March of the Dogs by the Walter Bodega Band.

I like that website more and more. It is really laid out well! Loved petting Butch...he's soooo cute! Nice writeups, excellent photos. Well done just like the music, thanks Mets.

Can't find the review at the Mandolin Cafe anymore, but it has been awhile. The samples still work at Mandolirium's website though. I'm glad to hear you are still getting enjoyment from the CD, kat.
