Subject: RE: BS: Ulster Songbook From: John Moulden Date: 14 Sep 00 - 10:56 AM The only book which has the title The Ulster Songbook - is published by Causeway Press, Londonderry and contains the words of songs taken (initially without permission) from the Ulster Society's two books of Orange Songs "The Orange Lark" and "Lilliburlero" from Cathal O Baoill: Songs of County Down, from Hugh Shields: Shamrock Rose and Thistle and from John Moulden (ed) Songs of the People Part one. The earlier reference to Songs of County Down may refer to a reprint of Cathal's book, I'll ask him. The Ulster Songbook is currently available in newsagents throughout Northern Ireland. |
