Yukio Chai Guitars?

I just picked up a classical guitar a made in 1977 by one Yukio Chai. I am not a classical playing, and this is the first classical guitar that I have had in maybe thirty years, and I know next to nothing about them.

It seems to be well made, that is to say, better quality than a beginners instrument, but how much better, I can't really tell. It seems to have a good sound in the high range, nice definition on the bass notes, as well, but the middle range seems a little flat, though this might have more to do with weaknesses in my technique than the speakability of the instrument.

Any info, help, advice would be welcome. And since you are bound to want to know, because the price was right.
