Thanks alot pal. I appreciate this greatly. By the way, do you know who is singing this tune on the album? I'm a little confused with faces and names here.

Don

Alan Reid is singing the lead vocal, Kate Rusby is singing harmony.

D.................F#m............G..................D
Don't turn to look on the green hills of Antrim
D.......................F#m...........G...................A
Fermanagh's behind you, it's time tae move on
...........G.................D...............G..............Bm
Look onwards tae Glasgow, and all your tomorrows
..........F#m.........Bm...............G..............A
Your future lies there, and it's waiting for you
.............G.................D..........A.................D
As the green crosses over to meet with the blue

(little uilleann pipes break between chorus & verses: D...Bm...G...A) .

.........Bm...............G....................A......................D
And what was the sense when the wee ones were cryin'?
.........Bm...........G.............D.............A
The cries of the hungry, no sense to remain
........Bm..................G.........A..........D
No prayer could recover a sister or brother
..........F#m.............Bm..............G...........A
So farewell to Fermanagh, the praying is done.

Chorus

The lands that you leave pass into many martyrs
And too many lives that have perished in vain
And too many boats slipping out from it's harbours
With cargoes that never came homewards again.

Chorus

..........Bm..............G................A...........D
If the wings of the eagle could carry you over
............Bm..............G.............F#...............Bm
To the lands of the prairie, then surely you'd fly
............G...........D..............F#m............Bm
But an ocean so wide, and a far distant country
.....F#m...............Bm..................G.........A
So far from your own land is no place to die.

D.................F#m............G..................D
Don't turn to look on the green hills of Antrim
D.......................F#m...........G...................A
Fermanagh's behind you, it's time tae move on
...........G.................D...............G..............Bm
Look onwards tae Glasgow, and all your tomorrows
..........F#m.........Bm...............G..............A
Your future lies there, and it's waiting for you
.............G.................D.....
As the green crosses over
(little music break....G...D)
............G..................D..........A..................A
As the green crosses over to meet with the blue
.

Darn, that last chord in the song should be "D", not "A".
