In standard guitar tuning, the six strings of the guitar are E, A, D, G, B, E.

Which is one is your favorite?

I vote for D.

D stands for DUMB and I know that if I start a really dumb thread at Mudcat, pretty soon a bunch of idiots will want to add their $.02.

Well I like playing in D: it suits my voice and my silly liitle fingers which can just about stretch the G that goes with it. I hate C mainly because I can't play F properly!! I can also pick a few tunes in D using the top E string trish

Try dadgad tuning which uses less chord structures an dproduces far more interesting sounds - also G minor - also cdgdad Gerry

A guy walked past a busker strumming away on his guitar. The guy noticed he had only one string on it and didn't use the frets at all.
