Thanks for the link Jeri, very interesting.

Someone at Mudcat put me in touch with Jeff Warner, a very kind and helpful individual, when I was searching for info regarding the song Down In The Canebrake (Nancy Till, Come My Love Come) taught to us by our grandfather.

It was exciting to hear the recording by Jeff's parents of Mrs. Tillet, as she was also the source of a couple of verses of the song sung by my grandfather that I noted on this thread
