I almost put this question in Naemanson's Favorite Movie thread, but a little voice kept shouting "thread creep, thread creep", so I removed it before posting.

At least to me, there is a very obvious link between two of my favorite movies: Dr. Strangelove, and Raising Arizona. It doesn't relate to plot, character etc, just a flash for a few seconds. It really popped out at me. You have to be fairly familiar with Dr. Strangelove, or you'd never give it a thought.

It is possible that this alleged link is totally coincidental, but I highly doubt that. It's too obvious. It's also entirely possible that my demented imagination is overactive, and I need to take a rest at the Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed.

No prizes, I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed. Enjoy, BlueJay

P. O. E. (Purity of Essence in Dr. Strangelove) is graffiti on the restroom wall after two characters in Raising Arizona break out of prision. I saw it right away too and I think it's intentional. I never get tired of watching either of theses movies.

Also, both movies have happy endings.

Count me in, I made that connection, too! Two of my favorites.
