Subject: Yann Tiersen From: Lena Date: 21 Sep 00 - 07:23 AM Last year when I was in Brittany I stepped in this album by chance (actually,by sitting in a pub playing some very good CDs.Suddenly the 'Le Quartier'track started and five minutes later I was buying a copy).Still now it's my favourite folk/indie/art/whatever album.Unfortunately, some very intense tunes are not possible to hear from that website.I strongly recommend to check it out ... Subject: RE: BS: Yann Tiersen From: Lena Date: 21 Sep 00 - 08:07 AM I forgot to say. That album is so rich and intense...it's played in a way that even some noises are there to touch you. It's a voyage in a frame of heart, with a plot made of sounds. The sound of a bicicle, mentioned in a song, keeps on coming back, like noises of boats and doors opening and closing...they are calls. And the rithmic sections are brilliant. Can bet that...well,never mind.I said that already.Just get a chance to listen to it. 100% 'You've never heard something like this before'. |
