Subject: lyric Req: Yesterday's Cider From: hartley Date: 17 Aug 97 - 08:15 PM I heard a song by Planeth (sp?) done in Welch which is titled in English "Yesterday's Cider." Haunting tune and may be the English translation would loose something in translation but would like to have the English translation anyway. |

Subject: RE: lyric Req: Yesterday's Cider From: Tim Jaques tjaques@netcom.ca Date: 20 Aug 97 - 08:11 PM Is this the old saying: Give me yesterday's cider, and this day's bread, Last year's wine, and my childhood's friends. My mother used to have it hanging in her kitchen. The bread, wine and friends are easy, but I never could figure out why day-old cider was preferable to any other cider. |
