That's right, it's on for sure, a meeting of Mudcatters in ole Buffalo, Why-Oh-Myn, right here, right now. Well, actually in a few hours.

SDShad/Chris called us last night. He and Beth will be in Buffalo abound 3p and Rog and I are going up to meet them. Sing a few tunes, fill up with coffee and then they head on back home.

Camera is packed and I will post pics asap.

Wish you all were here, too!

I wish I had known earlier, I'm only 2 hours from Buffalo, would have loved to be there, but have other plans for this week. Maybe next time.

Kat - Thanks for your best wishes on another thread.

Have a great time

JimmyC, which direction? Darn it. I found out about this on the thread SD started "Yellowstone" something or other. Sorry you didn't catch it. Shoot! We coulda had a whole band!

If you are only 2 from Buffalo, how far does that make it to Casper for you? From Casper, Buffalo is about 2 also, so maybe we could just meet there sometime anyway?

You are welcome for the wishes. I meant. That was a beautiful posting; very elegantly put.

I get the impression you don't mean NY.

Peter, I did say Why-Oh-Myn (Wyoming), so I hope you, JimmyC, realise that's just my quirky way of putting it and that you really are out here.

No worries, Bet, as it turns out, homebody and tiresome traveler that I am, we wound up coming back home without getting to connect as they were not going to be able to make it to Buffalo until about 5pm. That would have put us back home later than planned, plus they had some more driving to do before this day is out. They also had a day of driving tomorrow before they make it home, so it just didn't seem right to make them hang out in Buffalo while the light was fading fast.

We had a great visit on the phone and they will be doing that trip some more, so we will get to meet sometime, plus if they ever get over in the Black Hill area, Chris has promised to call as we could as easily run up there and Sorcha, I think you probably could do that part, too, eh?

Chris has a neat place to tell us all about and I am sure, at some point, we will wind up laying eyes on each other.

Rog and I had a good time in Buffalo. We went up early, getting there about lunchtime. It is a beautiful little town in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains, full of small Victorian mansions, gorgeous old spruce and pine trees, with a little creek which runs through town. The downtown is an historic district with an old Victorian hotel museum and a footbridge across the creek. Most importantly, for me, there is a wonderful rock shop there, so.....much as I missed meeting Chris and Beth, I am still a happy camper because I got to visit the rock shop and pick up some special pieces.

Thanks, Chris and Beth, for making the effort. It was great to visit with you as you drove across Montana and to hear of the beauty you were seeing.

Sounds simultaneously intriguing and and frightening. I hope the town survives. Be afraid, be very afraid. ;)

Have fun and don't you yuong'uns get to any mischief. (If those 2 suggestions cancel each other out, go for the fun one)

Go n-éiri an bothar leat,
Rich
