Subject: ISO: the M*A*S*H theme From: Easy Rider Date: 12 Oct 00 - 11:30 AM Does anybody know of or have TAB/Music, preferably a fingerstyle guitar arrangement, for this song, "Suicide is Painless"? I found the lyrics it the DT, but not the music. I think there was a discussion about this awhile ago, but I can't find it. |

Love the Ha ha ha ha, Ho ho ho ho, shuga shuga shuga shuga, (don't recall any more). Sounds like a really fun song, and I assume it is also a L.W. III song. I've tried searching the web for it to no avail. Does anyone have a clue as to where the complete song could be found? Easy Rider- Sorry, I don't have an arrangement for Suicide is Painless. But I'll bet with Karolina's links you may be able to come up with your own. Hell, I may try it as well. Thanks, BlueJay |
Subject: RE: ISO: the M*A*S*H theme From: Peg Date: 12 Oct 00 - 01:48 PM This was the first song I ever learned to play on the guitar! (great song; the scene where they use it in the movie is actually rather hilarious) |
Subject: RE: ISO: the M*A*S*H theme From: M. Ted (inactive) Date: 12 Oct 00 - 01:55 PM I remember, at the time of the movie, that this was a very popular melody (the lyrics, for some reason, never caught on) and that there were a number of jazz guitar covers, it got to be a bit of a standard-- If you play through the chords in D, the melody is quite easy to pick out--You should listen to the music to figure out the timing of the Bm7/F#m7/B7 changes, because they are not clear from the way they are plotted on the lyric sheet- |
Subject: RE: ISO: the M*A*S*H theme From: jeffp Date: 12 Oct 00 - 03:29 PM Bluejay, I think the song you're talking about is "Unrequited to the Nth Degree." It is indeed a LW3 song, on his "Unrequited" album. A bunch of great songs, including "Rufus is a Tit Man," about his son. Rufus is a tit man Great song jeffp |
