The song "Think twice before you go" appears on Van Morrison's newest CD. No surprise, he mumbles some of the words. Can anyone find the lyrics, and any information on the writer, who is only listed as "A.Smith"? I've come up dry.

let me have my way
think twice
before you go away
see me
as you did before
and i will love you more

Is this the song? If so the URL is below

If the lyrics were by a Smith, they must be by Stephen Morrisey.

(That's a joke - admittedly a bad one - for those of you unacquainted with The Smiths)

Subject: Lyr Add: THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO(John Lee Hooker

As sung by John Lee Hooker, on "20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection: The Best of John Lee Hooker" (1999)

Think twice before you go. Baby, this'll be the end. (2x)
If you leave me one time, baby, you will leave again.

Dig and suffer with me, baby. Then I'll know you paid your dues. (2x)
If you need me when i need you, Then you know you stand accused.

Break the heart you should be rulin', doin' the man who loves you wrong. (2x)
I can go for a lot of things, but you're a little too strong.
