Subject: Rose of Cimarron From: Skipjack K8 Date: 21 Oct 00 - 04:56 PM I'll probably get some flack for this, but I want the words, and preferably the chords to Rose of Cimarron, by Poco. I was doing what a chap does best this morning, pressing my shirts, and I had this old tape by Poco playing on the Brixton Briefcase. I used to hear Rose of Cimarron played on Radio Caroline (Pirate radio, the original and best) in the '70's, and I came by the tape soon after. The words are mostly unintelligable, and the audible ones sound pretty moronic, but one has to get these things right, right? I know it'd be considered down the line Country now, but take away the pedal steel, and trowel on a thick layer of fiddle & box and I think it'll rock. I've tried Harmony Central, to no avail. Any ideas, my friends? Skipjack |
