Does anyone know the words and accurate tune to "I Always Cook With Honey?" I used to know who recorded this, but memory fades... Nu?

Thanks, Earl. So far, I know that the lyrics I seek belong to a song called "Cook with Honey," written by Valerie Carter, and sung by Judy Collins on an album called "True Stories and Other Dreams", released in 1973. Valerie Carter also sings the song, herself, on an album called "Howdy Moon," released in 1974. Surfed through dozens of lyrics sites, but no luck, yet. I believe the first line is: "I always cook with honey, to sweeten up the night(?)..." Further suggestions? Thanks.

Seek, and ye shall find. It's in the oft-maligned Rise Up Singing songbook.

I ALWAYS COOK WITH HONEY
(Valerie Carter)

Muffin warm and basket brown, smiling faces all around
Our dinner table, close together hand in hand

Chorus:
I always cook with honey to sweeten up the night
We always cook with honey, tell me how's your appetite
For some sweet love?

Finding favor with your neighbor, well it can be so fine
It's easier than pie to be kind
We've been searching for so long, now our house is turned
Into a home

Chorus

Well, our door is always open and there's surely room for more
Cooking where there's good love is never any chore
So come and get to know us, there's a place set just for you
Sweet wine before dinner that is surely bound to soothe.

Chorus

Wikipedia says that songwriter Valerie Carter (born 1953) is best known as a back-up vocalist who has recorded and performed with a number of artists including Jackson Browne, Don Henley, Linda Ronstadt, Christopher Cross, Little Feat, The Outlaws and, most notably, James Taylor.

Well, that's a trip back in time, isn't it. The idea that you might want to be nice to someone, that you might want to cook for another person without expecting financial or political gain is quite refreshing.
And honey! And sweet wine! Two ingredients that now 20 years later would be thought of as hopelessly quaint.
Thank you internet for reminding me what is important.

Aha, now I see the inspiration for I eat my peas with honey, I've done it all my life / It makes the peas taste funny but it keeps them on the knife!
