The Warburton (near Lymm, Cheshire) Souling Play will be performed in pubs in the local area between 1st and 10th November. If anybody is interested please let me know and I'll arrange a blue clicky thing with all venues and times. The last night is always good, with a sing and music session at the last pub. King George

Can you describe for the innocent (and people like myself as well) what a Souling Play is?

Thanks,
Alex

I just won't be able to fit it into my schedule (besides, I live 3000 miles away) but I would LOVE a peep at the script! I collect mummer's play scripts and borrow from them shamelessly for the ones I write!

Hi Mousethief! I'm not entirely sure what it's about really and I've been performing in our Souling Play for years! Something about death / rebirth / fertility / lots of beer / patriotism (I'm King George mostly) /more beer / a huge amount of fun / maintaining the tradition and so on. Oh, by the way, they're usually performed in pubs. Hope I've clarified that for you! As for Animaterra, well I think you'd have to collect the words from a performance. Giving words away is a real no - no, and if I did my life would not be worth living. John

I'll get a blue clicky organised for the play. John (aka King George)
