attention please visual arts slaves.Given that everyone enjoys the Hearme thing, take this as a Seeme thread. You painters and similars are all invited to stick your most important works on these walls-pardon:you are begged to do so.I suppose:no limitations

Hope I won't have to summon you cookie by cookie,we know who you are so please out of the closet.

Looking forward to see from you

(the all thing comes from:this morning I e-mailed Jeff some attachments of my stuff in shameless exhibitionism. He made a page out of it and well,it would be wonderful if in this way I could see other mudcatters' works...)

----You left out the equals sign after href --- Bert.

Matt, I see that in the past you were SERIOUSLY into minimalist art! Or does that constitute Dada?

Hi, Lena & others,

When I was in charge of the Resources site, I was glad to post examples of Mudcatters' art/craft work on their photo pages. Pene Azul (aka Jeff) also seems willing to do so. Various of our members do leather work, are luthiers, make jewelry, do woodworking, pottery, etc. This could be an avenue for sales, networking, or donations to Mudcat, as people get to know you. Having a separate page is fine, too. Nice to see your work. Check out my "Pigs on the Resource site" thread.

best,

bbc

Lena...your address was ok, but you hadn't put necessary HTML 'code' around it...so it just came out as text....

Well, when I made the website, I planned to move all the 'current art' into the 'past' section after the semester ended. But HTML is such a bother that I never got around to adding more stuff. I even have the jpehs for the other stuff...just never loaded them to the site. Will send to Pene tomorrow.

No,that's the point(I'm not as dumb as I may sound like...)I stuck the all HTML code nicely wrapped around me address,ya know, and I just didn't work out...Scary.The Boogie/HTML monster is wandering round here...

You know Lena, the same thing happened to me! On my first message up there, I put in the HTML around the word "Click", but when I came back to the thread, it wasn't a link, just the plain text word "Click." Then I posted the link AGAIN, and it worked. Mysteriously, the second post disappeared, and the original word "Click" was made into a link. Something around here is reeeel fish. Must be the elves again!

Matt R, very intense. The photo art is almost Dali-esque. Where'd you get the Brother Cadfael image?

Alice, love the paintings on canvas.

Carol, I got the Cadfael image from the companion book to the PBS series Mystery!. The guy in the chair with the guitar is me, the others are influential figures in my life: Tolkien by the fire, Jeff Lynne in the armchair, my cat on the shelf, and Dougie MacLean in the mirror.

It would be nice to see the work of luthiers and other artisans who create musical related items. Bill Sables has some pictures of his beautiful hand tooled leather instrument straps in the Mudcat Resources photos. click here and scroll down They are gorgeous works of art! BTW, I added a generic sweatshirt at my tee shirt store that says, Folk Music Forever.

...Lena I am delighted with your art! Thanks for sharing it on the forum!! Oh lord, an opinion...I'm gonna get it!No wait, it is positive...it's okay! Nah I'll get a lecture for being paranoid about Lena! (Harp's correct diagnosis: paranoid)...Oh wait...if we remember to be polite it is okay...oh wait...only if our opinions are in agreement...no wait...respect all opinions and react as if the person is sincere and well-motivated on all types of threads...hey that might work! But Bill D already thought of it...

Astounding art my dear person! Where can we view more?...(serious positive opinion) harp

Lena,

I love your artwork. More, more! Encore!

I'll put some of mine up sometime soon but I'll have to change the format from IFF (Amiga) to something that PC's will digest. That means doing a double shuffle copying process because the disks aren't directly compatible either but...

Soon, I promise.

Helen

Since this thread started, I have updated my portfolio by adding an illustration I did back in the '70s, part of a series of nostalgic children subjects from the Depression. click here
