Subject: RE: Help: NAME THAT TUNE From: wysiwyg Date: 29 Oct 00 - 03:13 PM SINSULL should answer it since her name is ALL CAPS as Sorcha quite slyly pointed out above. Suggest someone who likes besbol go over to the TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME thread and ask around there too, since maybe one of them [posting] folks was *at* the game to hear the thing. ~S~ |

Subject: RE: Help: NAME THAT TUNE From: John in Brisbane Date: 30 Oct 00 - 07:59 AM I'm not sure what to add here - the song is 'Time To Say Goodbye' and has been popularised recntly by the blind Italian tenor Andrea Boccelli. It's quite a demanding song to sing for the soprano and tenor solos, but the chorus is a good shower item, which is mostly sung in Italian. You'll find plenty of MIDI files on the Web - I plucked this one out at random, but haven't played it http://members.aol.com/alchimisto/midi/1timtosa.mid

Subject: RE: Help: NAME THAT TUNE From: Robby Date: 30 Oct 00 - 08:11 AM The duet, "Time To Say Good-by", that was played at the conclusion of World Series is, I believe the version recorded by Mr. Boccelli and Ms. Brightman. It is on a CD of one of Mr. Boccelli's concerts, as well as a CD of one of MS. Brightman's. I have not seen either in a commercial "record" store. However, if your local PBS station has a "commercial" store in your area, the CDs can be purchased there, or through Wireless or Signals, the NPR catalogs. |
