Subject: RE: Help: Gordon Bok schedule From: Naemanson Date: 30 Oct 00 - 06:33 AM You've got a great experience coming your way, Frank. We had Gordon at the Side Door Coffeehouse earlier this month and he was great. He truly enjoys the small venues. The Side Door kept to its usual coffeehouse venue. They didn't sell advanced tickets, they didn't move upstairs to the sanctuary where they would have more room, but they did fill the room they had with eating and they filled those seats and had some standing to watch as well. Gordon was excited to be there. He arrived early and got in a good sound check. The "green room" they gave him was the sanctuary of the church and that proved unfortunate for it was cooler up there than the common room downstairs. When the instruments got to the warmer air the tuning went off and he had to retune but he didn't treat it as a big deal. All in all it was a great evening. They was a product table set up which I handled. A word of warning. The person who handles product sales gets a free CD. Try not to fight over who gets that job. Make it a fair and democratic selection process. Enjoy! |
