Rhino also did a 3-volume CD set (released individually) in the late '90s -- 'Troubadors of British Folk' - contemporary artists like Fairport, Carthy, et al., doing trad folk songs. Decent liner notes, kind of a thumbnail sketch of the broader field...

Just got a copy of a double CD called "And We'll All Have Tea"... Topic Records Ltd. i enjoyed it so much I wanted to make you all aware of it. I think it would be a great starting CD for anyone interested in English folk music. Some of these are done in Steeleye Span Style, therefore most, but not all, are done on accoustic instruments.
