Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: Little Neophyte Date: 12 Nov 00 - 08:44 AM Mazel Tov and Simmentov, Mazel Tov and Simmentov Pat you must remember what that all means from your catering job. Maybe Karen's health be speedily returned from a few big bowls of home-made chicken soup with egg noodles, kreplach and bumba balls. I figure the firm matzah balls are best for healing. How about a big piece of kugel and some gefilte fish to get her strength back. Love Bonnie |

Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: catspaw49 Date: 11 Nov 00 - 07:57 PM I'm home early tonight and I'm happy to say that Karen is improving nicely and has really enjoyed all the love and support you have sent her way.....and me too. All that wonderful good will, great thoughts and prayers, have meant much to both of us. After spending the morning at the hospital, I picked up the boys, did a little shopping and took them to the hospital. We all ate supper together which made it seem better to them. Tomorrow, we'll be going to the zoo or COSI and then come back to the hospital for supper again. They can start back to school on Monday and I'll make a couple of trips to the hospital during and after. Karen's breathing changed for the better during the course of the day and we hope for the same kind of improvement by this time tomorrow and thanks to all of you and some good treatment, we believe the worst is over. Spaw |

Both of us sending you tonnnnns of love, Little Neo & Uncle Charles |
Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 11 Nov 00 - 06:58 PM I posted this to the bottom of the first thread without realizing that it had been superseded:
Patsclaw, I got my 14 microwatt transmitter turned up to full power--it ain't much, but resonating with kat's and micca's and animaterra's and the other high power units turned Karen's way, we'll zap them clots (my transmitter is beaming cyber-coumadin). Love to you both and to the kids and to Clarence. --seed |

Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: Little Hawk Date: 11 Nov 00 - 03:26 PM Hi Spaw, Sorry, I was kind of distracted by various stuff in my own life the last few days. I've been "terreeble busy dese days" as Jean Chretien, our lamentable prime minister, might say...and I've been battling a throat infection...not too serious, thankfully. I want to send my love and concern and prayers for Karen and for you and the family. I consider you a dear personal friend (no exaggeration) and one of the people who makes Mudcat a joy and a wonder. The best of good fortune to all of you. Little Hawk |

Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: GUEST,khandu Date: 11 Nov 00 - 12:56 PM Seeing the response of the Catters is very moving. In times of trouble, we forget our silliness and unite. That is a Family. Spaw and Karen, take heart. You are being uplifted all across the Mudcat world. We love you. May Grace and Peace be multiplied unto you both, and may the Healer touch you with his gentle, yet overwhelmingly powerful Love. Our prayers remain for you. khandu |
Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: jeffp Date: 11 Nov 00 - 11:47 AM Still prayin' and sending good thoughts your way. Spaw, be sure to heed Amergin's advice and take care of your own self. I know how we can tend to neglect our own needs when someone we love is ailing. You can't give her strength if you have none to spare. Karen, Hang in there and know that the whole world of Mudcat is pulling for you. Take care and get better. Best to the boys, too. jeffp |

When 'Spaw gets around to it maybe he will post us an update on these wonderful folks we met during his illness and tell us what they have been up to! Maybe even encourage them to get in here once in a while, how about it 'Spaw? |

Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: Night Owl Date: 11 Nov 00 - 12:41 AM Thanks for the update Pat. I feel like I want you to give us an accounting of what YOU'VE had to eat and drink the last couple days, but Amergin covered it well. Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: Amergin Date: 10 Nov 00 - 11:41 PM Sorry, accidentally clicked the submit button.... Subject: RE: Healing for KarenSpaw - Continued From: catspaw49 Date: 10 Nov 00 - 11:28 PM I really don't know what to say.....again. Karen and I are both overwhelmed and grateful for all the support which this wonderful community of friends provides. A quick scan of the other threads assures me that we are discussing and arguing over the news of the world, looking for and researching and debating about folksongs, BS'ing about personal issues, and singing away in a worldwide song circle...........The beauty of all this being that this is a fantastic group of people, capable of heated argument while coming together for each other. It is the essence of Mudcat at its finest that though we may agree or disagree on so many points, the community is banded and bonded together in this strange form of friendship that to most of us is as equally real as any we have known. What a place.............. UPDATE: Karen is doing better today and in no pain. She is getting good rest and they are running boatloads of tests and monitoring her progress on the Heparin very closely. By this time tomorrow, the worst phase will be over and we should see signs of marked improvement......We are seeing some now. By Sunday we should be able to relax a bit and be less worried about something going wrong during the clot dissolvement. The boys are fine and went to see Mom today along with Connie and her boys.....We were quite a crew in the room, but everyone behaved pretty well and Karen and the kids all enjoyed the visit. Tris could see the planes landing at Port Columbus and was in hog heaven! I took everyone (except Karen of course) to supper and Dad pigged out on Phad Thai. I don't know what I would do without Connie and Wayne close by. We are family in the truest sense of the word and we have spent many highs and lows together. I would never have believed we could have such great friends as we have found here at the 'Cat. I told Karen today that I believe she has outdone me, during the aneurism time, in distance and differences. I think that Bugsy in Perth is about as far away as possible and mcmoo and others have weighed in from Belgium, Germany etc. I'm about whipped. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I may come back and play and spread a little "thread litter".......I mean I am still me!!! But now I'm going to kick back a bit and try to get some sleep, assured in knowing that no man or woman has ever been graced with so many wonderful friends as Karen and I have been with all of you. Spaw |
