Subject: Breeze: Gettin braver From: MichaelAnthony Date: 11 Nov 00 - 05:21 PM It's a process of overcoming fear and inertia, but I've gone out and played a couple of times in the last few weeks. One was a 20 min set at an unusual outdoor "Surreal Cirkus" festival in Asheville, and the other a couple of songs at an open mic at Eddie's Attic here in Atlanta. I'm not quite prepared yet, but a next step is trying to get some actual gigs. Plan on working with some sequenced beats and sounds...may be able to play in DJ venues. Working on a way to be true to folk songs and have people want to come out and listen... Anyway, to anyone in the same boat, it seems one can get braver...I may have to do whatever it takes and not give in to fears about money...and see what can happen. MichaelAnthony |
