I suspect this is the song that was wanted. Not quite 1940s though.

Am looking for this for a project i am working on. Grandma's memoirs are on my desk, and am typing them up clean, with footnotes. Well, i want this as a footnote. Popular around the 40's. Any clues, out there? Thanks!
