Subject: Folk group whereabouts? From: GUEST,r.brown8@ntlworld.com Date: 08 Dec 00 - 01:00 PM Can anyone help me trace a folk group with the names Huxtable, Christian or Christiansen, and Hood. They made a recording entitled "Wallflowers", one track of which is "Oldest of Friends". I would like to know more about available recordings of this group, or get a web address for them. Can anyone out there help? Ray |

Subject: RE: Folk group whereabouts? From: Bardford Date: 08 Dec 00 - 01:32 PM I ran a search on Google ( pretty darn good search engine, if you ask me) I typed in Huxtable Hood, and got a whole swack of results. Just go to Google.com. Cheers, Bardford |

Subject: RE: Folk group whereabouts? From: Mike Regenstreif Date: 08 Dec 00 - 03:18 PM Huxtable, Christenson & Hood were a trio based in Saratoga Springs, NY back in the 1970s and early-'80s. They made two LPs. "Wallflowers," which you mention, was on Philo, I don't recall who put out the second. Neither has been reissued on CD. I don't know where Carol Christenson and Liz Hood are now. Terri Huxtable is still in the Saratoga area. She's a special ed teacher and sometimes performs as a back-up musician with Michael Jerling, to whom she's married. Mike Regenstreif |

Subject: RE: Folk group whereabouts? From: vlmagee Date: 08 Sep 01 - 04:53 PM Actually, Huxtable, Christenson & Hood are performing together again. They were at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs on June 30. In fact, I'm going to see Michael Jerling there tonight. I'll let Terri know that people have asked about the trio. I'm sure she will be happy to hear that! |
