Refrigerator magnet poetry, created with one of those starter sets which only includes a handful of words to mix and match. If you have any, let's read them! Here are a few of mine:

1)
Seeing him was
A slice of wild love
After dark;
Morning off and away
Like a lacy blossom.

2)
Blue, immense, slender day
Use summer as you will,
Shower songs leave secret tendrils.

3)
Dry cans go by
what is liquid
over glass tongues
yet, pronounced crackly,
bruised their sides.

4)
You say this minute
has the boquet smell
Of red dirt from pages past.

5)
Consume books
Like evening full
wind on skin
through avenues of sound.

Then, I sent the set to my daughter, so no more frig poetry.**BG**

Mine were: "Bovine Flautulence Cause Global Warming",
and lots of Far Side/Peanuts music cartoons. Then I bought a new 'fridge and put them all away because I didn't want the "New" fridge cluttered up.

The "kids" are, after all, 22 and 16, so I am no longer obligated to put school art on the fridge. Oh yes, there was a "Hazel" cartoon of a cat entangled in a Christmas tree that said-----He got himself there, he can get himself out...........and another that said:

Why should he spend more time with his father? He already knows how to use the remote control.......

I'll go away now.........

My SO found a fridge magnet of a fat Polar Bear reclining in exactly the position I take up on the sofa to watch TV and just put it on the fridge and waited for me to notice. I hate smartasses...

The Three Stooges, and a newspaper clipping of Jay Hurley (a local character) dressed in 19th century attire with the caption, "Cranky replica adds authentic touch".

None of us around here have figured out yet if the caption refers to Jay, or to the steamboat in the background.

I got a magnetic poetry kit when I was in Chicago earlier this year. It's now on my filing cabinet in work 'cos our European fridges just aren't big enough. The guys in my office rearranged it while I was out one day, so now I have some lovely obscene quotations to read while I'm working.
