I've been looking for a stand that will hold two guitars and a banjo on stage. The banjo (a Deering) is quite heavy and tends overbalance any commercial stands I've seen. Has anyone ever come up with a design that will do this? Woodworking and welding are not a problem; I just need a decent design.

They make em; Seen them in Richmond, VA music stores. Check out: http://www.elderly.com/accessories/Stands.html

To be honest with you, I prefer having separate stands, especially when the stage is tight and all instruments are plugged into the PA. Can never gracefully get to the one in back.
