Well, rumors of the demise of the band Sorcha Dorcha, started by myself when my bandmates walked... may be premature. The band is reforming with the tallented Scott Mettey, Fiddler, Uilleann Piper (never too many Uilleann pipes, and his set is in good pitch to mine) and banjo player. We are still in the market for a new guitarist, however, the core of the band seems back on line.
The revised band will perform with Ray Collins, (the voice of Belfast... or is it Derry???) at the People's Voice Cafe, at Workmen's Circle 45 E 33rd Street, New York effing City.
Now in the past, we have only seen about two Mudcatters at our gigs, so we hope that you will all jump on busses trains and airplanes, and attend, or send a note from your parents, children or doctors.
Larry Otway

Rise again, rise again, that the name not be lost To the knowledge of men. They've got an extra set of pipes, and if you get there on the night You'll see the band called Sorcha Dorcha rise again.

A bit far for me to travel, but I'll be there in spirit!
