Dave Burland sings a really nice version of this on his Dalesmans Litany album. Most probably its unavailable now but well worth digging out. I dont think Ive heard it anywhere else but, knowing the Mudcat, Im sure to be corrected soon!
All the best,
J.

A number of people have recorded it over the years, of course.  An mp3 excerpt of Ian Bruce's recording (not the best I've heard, but the only one available on the web it seems) may be heard at his website:  The Bleacher Lassie of Kelvinhaugh

The same tune was used for the Cape Breton song  When First I Went to Caledonia.
