From: InOBU

Last night a good meeting was had... and a more formal annoucement to come soon, but, apparently, for our Feb 10 gig at the People's Voice Cafe (see post from the past several days...) the new incarnation of Sorcha Dorcha will include two Uilleann Pipes, an Oboe, two fiddles, four singers, Bodhran, Mandolin, Guitar, whistles, two or three flutes, concertina, bombard, highland pipes, and all this with only four members. (five for the PVC cafe, as Mat ChaCacher will guest appear with us on Bazoki and guitar and vocals...) A GRAND TIME IS GUARENTEED FOR ALL, ach, nil sibh sasta, - an inside joke... Larry

Mazel Tov Larry,
I wish you guys much success.
Did the horse take off to joint the rodeo or has it decided to stay for the ride, sticking through the good times and bad?

No, when all friends abandon the kumpania, the old talking horse stays true. When our oboe player asked if the name stays, and I asked if she wanted to go with another name, she said no, she liked the band's graphics and general persona, so we got into a wee talk about the voodron (wagon) and even Mr. Ed himself, who will continue to pull the band from web page to web page... Thanks....
Larry

My Dear Kat: Please don't be offended if I correct your grammer.... To Bonnie you would be almost right, Baxtalee, to me, as a fellow - Baxtalo. But for the thought, nyes tuka, and gorra mile ma agut, gra. To George and others, new tapes soon, God willing, and a very merry Christmas. Up dated web site will be posted in a little while, when we get final details settled up and photos. Last night at a session the crack was ninety, three of us, two fiddles and pipes the two pipes and fiddle...
Larry

Thanks, Laryy, not offended at all, rather very grateful. I had written it down that way from a list Bonnie sent me, although I thought that was correct for the plural? I will note the corrections. May I beg the favour of a translation of "gorra mile ma agut, gra?" Thanks!

Nyes tuka,

kat

Hi kat! You already translated it! Thanks in Irish. As to the plural of baxtalo, I have always spelled it baxtalay, but there are lots of spellings and dialects of Romaness, so you may be right.
Cheers
Larry PS and thanks again for the honnor to us of addressing a wish in Romaness.

LOL with glee! I got here before Spaw, so I can be the one to say, so "So, Bon Ami, ya got both sets of parts, there, huh? That must get confusing when you have to (insert your choice of Spawism, here)!" **BG**

Oh, yeah, and who're you calling Gadjo, sweetie!? Oh well, at least you didn't call us Delo! LOL

Misto, Lolya, sar my san? Nyes tuka for the translation and it is an honour to be able to communicate even in a tiny bit of Romaness. I would love to learn more; what I have is from a little note, Bonnie sent me.

Le gr  argus (hope that is spelled right, I can't read my scribblings!) meas,

kat
