Subject: Sweet Missouri water???? From: GUEST Date: 20 Dec 00 - 04:24 PM I'm looking for the artist or the name of a song. My problem is that I only remember the storyline of the song and some fragmented lyrics. It is a folk song, male artist, about a group of Firefighters fighting a large forest fire. Some of the fragmented lysics are " 13 crosses under the sweet Missouri water" or something along those lines. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Sweet Missouri water???? From: Allan C. Date: 20 Dec 00 - 05:05 PM If you go to crycrycry.com and look at "other links" you will find,"Ron Greitzer's Guitar Chord Transcription Page" where you will be able to get most of the lyrics and all of the chords to Cry, Cry, Cry's songs. While you are there in the links, click on the "concert". I have played this hundreds of times. It has the song you seek plus nearly all of the cuts on their CD - only better! IMHO. If you have never heard this group, this is one of the better ways to get to know them. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Sweet Missouri water???? From: Knicke Date: 21 Dec 00 - 04:04 PM I got to see Mr. Keelaghan perform that one live. SHIVERS! Probably my favorite musician out there for doing tragic ballads. He has another one called "Rebecca's Lament" which is gorgeous, though I can't seem to find it on any recordings. Does anyone know about that song? |
