yep it's me.... chasing your guilty consciences.... well actually just reminding those of you that have volunteered to "get your fingers out" (or maybe that's a bad choice of words....*grin*) and get sending me photos for the "nearly nude - but tasteful" Mudcat calendar....

so far I have received a few (thanks)... but there are a lot more who volunteered..... its nearly Christmas.. good time to get people around to take the shots.....

any other people who I missed with PMs please feel free to drop me a line....

Oops, too. I just found out I bought Mac formatted disks by mistake. I have a PC which, of course, won't read my jpegs! (Arrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!). Will try again tomorrow. The store's closed now.

kendall and Naemanson are both in Maine, right? kendall, you could contribute to the calendar by taking Naemanson's picture.

Naemanson, you don't really have to be nude. I had a (platonic) friend take my picture and I was wearing something under my accordion that you can't see in the picture, so it just looks like I'm nude. Didn't want to be cruel to my friend. (However, the guy at the copy place where I had it scanned looked like he was having trouble keeping a professional demeanor while scanning. And I have to go back and have it re-scanned. Poor guy.)

I am not going to take piccies with my regular camera and have someone develop the film! I'd borrow a digital camera if anyone I knew had one. Can't afford to buy one now. So, unless you want me to do something odd with my scanner, I'm stuck. (I could scan a black and white shot of me in a bath tub at around age 1, but somehow I don't think it's what you're looking for.)

YeGads, Carol: I would think that a responsible Musician, especially of the fair gender, would be well advised to employ a certain level of protective attire when playing that accordion!

Although not conversant with the instrument personally, I would speculate that with those pleated bellows expanding and contracting, things could get... well.. caught up in the works, so to speak. If you were playing "Cajun", I suppose that the abrupt, forteissimo high-alto vocalization which might reasonably attend such an accident (risk of which would be significantly greater on the "squeeze" stroke)would fit right in with little notice taken by the presumably inebriated audience (it seems somewhat incongruous that a Lady would be performing topless before an audience much given to sobriety - unless of course the gig were at a "Naturalist" gathering... but rumor has it that Nudists are not much given to the accordion, and upon due reflection, I can rather imagine why).

Associated sensations might interject a certain degree of distraction, which would not, I opine, contribute in any positive way to your virtuosity. And I suspect that there may be someone in your life with a vested interest in the integrity and well - being of your body, complete with all of it's associated appendages and accessories.

So please, do be carefull; after all, "It's for the Children", my Deah...

Personally I think it's a great idea. Like The Full Monty. I heard a news story awhile ago on NPR about some middle-aged very proper British women putting together a nude calendar. I will get one when they're ready! Then maybe next year I can convince Mister to let me play too. :)

Noone told me we were going ahead or where to send photos. Last I heard we were deciding which month we were in and everyone seemed to want to keep their clothes on! We are still hoping to send ours soon but we are cameraless at the moment so it may be after Christmas it arrives. Where do I send them? Are we still going in our birthday months as well as suits(Ineed this info to decide if Geoff and I should be together or apart. Actually since we will be taking the photos that is irrelevant!)
